Dr. Bina Modi was appointed the Chairperson of Modi Enterprises – KK Modi Group, in 2019. She is the Chairperson and Managing Director of the Group’s flagship companies, the Fortune 500 India, BSE listed Godfrey Phillips India Ltd. and Indofil Industries Ltd. The other business include Ego chain of restaurants, Dessange salon and Bina Fashions.

Under the stewardship of Dr. Modi, the Group has set itself apart with its people-first philosophy. The validation for it comes with the recognition that GPI is one of India’s ‘Great Places to Work’ for many years. Owing to her strong inclination towards community welfare and sustainability, Dr. Modi also leads the CSR committee at Godfrey Phillips.

Furthermore, under Dr. Modi’s leadership, businesses have fortified their processes, systems, productivity, resources, cost rationalization, and created SOPs that will enable optimization & sustainability. She has cultivated a culture of ESG in the enterprise.

She has been conferred with a Ph.D, Honoris Causa, by Dr. K.N. Modi University and Jharkhand Rai University. She has also been awarded the Women of the Decade in Business & Leadership 2018 by Women Economic Forum, and the prestigious Achiever’s Award in 2019. She has also featured in ‘India’s Most Powerful Women’, a book by Prem Ahluwalia. In 2020 she received an Award for Excellence in Business by the President of Egypt, at the Women Economic Forum 2020. In April 2022, she was awarded as ‘Women transforming India’ by Indo-American Chambers at ‘6th Entrepreneur Leadership Awards 2022’. In 2023, AsiaOne recognised her as one of Asia’s Greatest Leader and presented her with the Women Empowerment Leadership Principles Award, Asia, 2023.

Samir Modi is Executive Director, Godfrey Phillips India. The other positions he concurrently holds include Executive Director, Modi Enterprises, Director, Indofil Industries, President, Twenty Four Seven Convenience Stores, Managing Director, Colorbar Cosmetics and Managing Director, Modicare.

Samir is also President, Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI).

Samir is known for his entrepreneurial spirit has founded pioneering businesses like Modicare, first network marketing company in India and 24Seven, first 24 hours retail outlets for the Indian urban besides bringing affordable premium cosmetic brand Colorbar to India.

He founded the Modicare Foundation focused on enhancing, engaging and empowering the lives of people and has won the President’s Award for exceptional work in gender related issues in India.

Samir is a graduate from the Hindu College, Delhi University and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, U.S.A.
